RJ Hampshire collects another moto-podium to secure fourth overall at Southwick National

2021 National05 Southwick Hampshire

AMA Motocross National - Southwick - Round 5

450MX

In the 450 Class Marvin Musquin finished 10th in moto1 and 7th in moto2 for 8th overall for the day.

Musquin: “Conditions were really tough today; it was definitely a tougher Southwick. My starts were good, I feel like I always have good starts here in the sand, and my bike was hooking up really good in both motos. I had decent speed at the beginning and then I started to get passed by a couple riders and lost rhythm and it was hard to keep up, so that was the biggest issue on the weekend.”

250MX

In the 250 class RJ Hampshire finished 2nd in moto1 and was running in second in moto2 when a mid-race crash relegated him to 6th good for 6th in the overall.

Stilez Robertson finished 8th in moto1 and moto2 good for 8th for the day.

Jalek Swoll lead in moto1 but went down finishing 5th. In moto2 he finished 17th good for 9th in the overall.

“I had good speed again today and I was fastest in qualifying, which was a first with the team,” Hampshire said. “I felt awesome out there and my bike was really good, I just had a couple mistakes that cost me. It’s not a bad points day but I’m looking forward to Millville and going up from here.”
