AMA Motocross - RedBud 2 - Round 5. Marvin Musquin finished 4th for the day going (3)(4); while Jason Anderson did not compete due a an arm injury.
Marvin Musquin: “The first moto was quite good, I was pretty happy about those moves and I was able to get third, it was great. The second moto was a little rougher. Once again, I felt pretty good and I was right there trying to charge but I stayed there and got a fourth place overall. It’s a bummer because I want to be on the podium and I want to make up points but I didn’t. I did some great things out there but we need more.”
RJ Hampshire wins his for AMA Motocross of the season with a 2nd in moto1 and 3rd in moto2. Stilez Robertson had a strong first moto1 for the Rookie with a 9th and 18th in moto2 for 13th in the 250 overall. Jalek Swoll went (23rd)(15th) for the 19th overall. Michael Mosiman did not compete due to a concussion.
“I got off to two pretty good starts today, which was nice. I should have had that first moto win but I made two mistakes late and it cost me huge,” Hampshire said. “I pulled it together in the second moto and I’m so stoked. Huge thanks to this whole team, this is the first overall for me in about two years, so it’s special. We’ll celebrate and hopefully rack a few more before the season is over.”
