Finally, after the forced stop due to Covid-19, we’re back on track, in beautiful Tuscan track of Mugello, where rounds 1 and 2 of CIV 2020 were raced.
There couldn’t be a better start for the young Airohriders with a very good Edoardo Dodo#47 Boggio, MiniGP Italian Champion in charge that on his debut in CIV PreMoto3 has proven his worth in Race1, unfortunately in Race2 he didn’t do that; after an excellent comeback he was fighting for the leadership but he slipped on the penultimate lap.
As regards Saturday, another podium with Lorenzo Zanetti in the SBK riding the Ducati Panigale V4 while in the SSP300, Mika Perez and Manuel Bastianelli came behind the winner Nicola Bernabè.
Sunday starts wonderfully with Beatriz Neila, who took pole position in the Women's European Cup (the European Women's Championship), she wins on the Yamaha of the Trasimeno Team as well as Nicola Settimo who, first at the finish, preceded Manuel Bastianelli in Race 2 of SSP300; these two riders maintain the same order also in the championship with NIK at 38 with two points ahead of MANU.
Finally, we have also to underline what happened in SSP600 class, where the young Airohrider from Bergamo, that normally engaged in the World Championship, winner of the inaugural race of the 2020 season in Phillip Island, took advantage of the Tuscan round of the CIV to return on track after the forced absence from the races due to Covid-19. Andrea Locatelli made a pole position and won both Saturday-Sunday races, clearly without adding valid points for the championship.
