A great start for our AirohRiders at Internazionali d’Italia in Alghero

2022.01 Intern.Italia Alghero

Internazionali d’Italia Motocross - Alghero - Round 1

This weekend were held the first round of Internazionali d'Italia in Alghero.

Simon Langenfelder: “In the MX2 race I started very well, then I held the third position for most of the heat, when in the final I was overtaken by another rider and I finished fourth. The second race was also positive, the Superfinal: still good at the start and at the end fifth but second of the 250. I am very happy with this start, I was physically well and I found good trajectories, I had a great time with the bike and I am optimistic also for the next to Riola Sardo ".

Mattia Guadagnini: "Today certainly could have been a bit better, but as the first race of the season we take it as a good test and good training. This morning I made some mistakes in the timed session, I only set the fifth fastest time in my group and then because of the traffic I didn't have the chance to improve. In the MX2 race I got a bad start, I was over 10th position and I recovered up to fifth place, then I made a mistake in a downhill section, I went off the track and passed sixth, but in the final I recovered the fifth position. In the Supercampione final I got a good start, I was around the seventh - eighth position, which is not bad considering we were together with the 450s, then unfortunately in the first lap I was hit by another rider and I got stuck with my foot in his wheel .. when I left I was in the rear. Finally, with almost one lap from the leaders, I continued to train, however all in all I am happy with the pace and how I rode on this track. Now we are preparing for the Riola Sardo races, next Sunday.”.
